Just Like Ancient Times, Modern Farmers Need Great Tech, Too
Agricultural startup CropSafe helps farmers geo-tag and log notes in their fields using a unique, mobile-friendly app (made on Glitch, naturally). John** **McElhone and his co-founder Micheál McLaughlin come from a rural area and have farming backgrounds. Micheál’s grandfather owns a farm that has been instrumental in their understanding of traditional survey methods and figuring out how they can improve upon them with technology.
Their app helps farmers assess the state of their crops “without the added complexity of dashboards and calculations,” John McElhone, CropSafe co-founder, told Glitch, and the goal is to make “farm analytics simple.”
CropSafe’s app serves a webview of crop maps which is a core part of their product.
“It allows us to deliver a much faster experience to our customers. As we're still an early-stage startup, we iterate on the code of our app every day. The Glitch platform allows us to do this 10x faster than any other platform we have tried.”
We’re proud to feature CropSafe as an active Glitch community member that uses a boosted app. Check out more boosted apps on our Glitch collection page, and get started making your app!
